1111 Mississippi - Date Night

It's so fun to think that you are going on a 'date'! Especially, when you've been in a relationship for a long time, and the little things seem so fun! Early last week, I had made reservations at 1111 Mississippi in Lafayette Square. I was so excited to try it because I had heard such great things about it!

When we first walked in, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. We had a drink at the bar, and then got seated. Every one's food around us looked amazing. We both started off with salads, mine had really juicy cherries, which were awesome! For the main course, I had potato encrusted halibut with spaghetti squash and risotto, and Derrick had bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. I had convinced myself that I wasn't going to get dessert, but someone else was all about it!! Derrick picked the caramel bread pudding for us to share. I have to say that the food was really good, but the dessert was the most AMAZING part of the entire meal. I am so happy we got dessert.............

As much as I love the sun, I also love when it rains!!! Saturday was rainy, cold, and a great day to watch movies. I did a lot of that, and surprisingly, drug myself to the gym! I came home, watched more TV, ate dinner, and got ready to head to the CWE. Derrick was spending the afternoon and night at Charlie's for the Mizzou game and a poker night. I met some NEW friends out! It's kind of funny, they are Derrick's friends from highschool! I met them at Sub Zero, which is also a lot of fun, and then we walked over to Brennan's which was also a really good time! My friend from highschool, Ashleigh actually met us for a while as well! I'm so happy I went out with the girls this weekend, I had sooo much fun and it's always nice to hang out with a different crowd!!

Tonight, was our final pre-marital counseling class!!! We passed!!! Ha ha ha...
We were kind of running out of topics to talk about. We are definitely relieved we don't have to waste anymore Mondays on that! However, before class, I did get a GOOD walk in with Julie in Tower Grove. I'm sure this week will fly by, just like the rest of them! Hopefully, the weather will stay pretty for us!
