Friday after work, I headed home to get my things together to head to Kansas City for my soon-to-be sister-in-law Mindy's 30th birthday party. We finally got on the road, arriving around 11pm. I had a really good night's sleep and took a jog in the morning. Matt and Kim also drove in from Springfield. When they got there, us girls took a trip to David's Bridal and another little tot shop to purchase little suits for Lincoln and Jonathan for the wedding. We picked up the cutest little boy suits...they are going to look adorable. Sandy also found a dress for the wedding at David's Bridal, which I think took some pressure off!
When we got home everyone was hanging out, getting ready, and resting up for the night ahead! Andy grilled out before we left, we played a couple rounds of corn hole and sat outside. Mindy's husband Andy, reserved space at a winery by their house. The winery was in the middle of nowhere and it was beautiful and just a perfect little spot. The sunset was gorgeous. Below is a picture taken of all of us at the winery right at sunset!
At the winery, I sampled a coconut wine, which was really good, but that kind of wine that you can only have one glass of. I decided to stick with beer! The weather was actually kind of cold, so the fire pits were put to good use. Mindy had a really good time, a lot of her friends came out. Andy did a really good job planning Mindy's party, you only turn 30 once!
The above picture of Derrick and I was taken by Sandy. It's official, everyone is soooo excited that the wedding is right around the corner!! Less than 6 weeks!!
