All I can say is that I have the best friends and sister-in-laws in the world!! The bridesmaids have made everything extremely special for me, down to every last detail.
So, let's begin...
FRIDAY: I left work around 2 p.m., came home, finished packing my bags, and headed over to Mcnamera's where everyone was hanging out, drinking a few to start the weekend! Me, Kim, Mindy, and Brandy were instructed to not leave STL until 6 p.m. So that's what we did. We loaded up the cars and got on our way. (We had to make a pit stop in O'fallon, and drop Beetle Bailey off.)
When we arrived at Innsbrook almost everyone was already there! The color theme for the weekend was pink and black :) There were pink bows all over the house to incorporate the theme. Amy's boyfriend's family owns this lake cottage at Innsbrook in Wright City, MO. Innsbrook is beautiful and their house was amazing! Friday night was a lot of fun because everyone just hungout and was happy to be there. We were up pretty late, playing dirty games, and myself, Maria, and Kim setting off a surprise fireworks show at 1 a.m.! All the food the entire weekend was amazing! From meatballs to chili cheese dip to chicken salad, everything was great!
SATURDAY: Everyone slept in, I was actually the first one up, so I did some cleaning from the night before and made coffee. For breakfast, Lo made an egg breakfast casserole, and Mindy made a variety of muffins. We even threw some momiasos in there too! The weather on Saturday was incredible for July in MO. I warned everyone Thursday night to pack sweatshirts and pants, because I knew the weather was going to drop. We all sat around for a while and caught up some more. Around 12:30 p.m. we headed to the pool for drinking and sun! However, it was overcast and we didn't have much luck with the sun. We still had a great time with each other. We headed back to the house to shower and get ready for the evening.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Theme: Sex & the City
To give you a recap, I had no idea what was happening this weekend except that we were going to Innsbrook. Kim, Mindy, Brandy, and Liz went to the restuarant early to set-up. When we arrived to the patio at the restuarant, there were pink and black everything - balloons, martini glasses, fake blinking diamond rings, pink cameras, and name tags so each person could decide who they were...Are you a Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, or Charlotte?! Dinner was really good.
Kim then left again, and we were told to stay put. When we got the phone call that we were able to come back to the house, we packed up and left. When we pulled up there was a poster board that said, 'Sex and the City' and when we walked in there was a HUGE cake shaped like a penis on the table that Brandy had made!! Then I looked to my left, and there was a lady standing there...who does sex toy parties, and that's what we were having!!!! It was a total surprise, fun, and very educating. Every bridesmaid ordered me something and then I also get a credit due to the balance!! The sex toy party was really cool, and a great idea!! While we listened to Karen explain everything, we sipped Cosmos too. After the party I opened all my presents, which were a variety of things from sexy lagerie to body paint to wine goblets.
Sunday morning, everyone felt pretty good, considering everyone was in bed around 12:30 because we were so exhausted from the entire weekend. Everyone did a little cleaning, got their stuff together and headed home. My bachelorette weekend was a complete blast, and I couldn't have asked for anything else!!!

Hey Lauren,
Sounds like your weekend was so much fun! let me guess, the Sex and the City idea was Kim's? I love the penis cake... looks like it was a mouthful! haha.
Less than 2 weeks to go! Excited, nervous, or just plain ready?
Have so much fun these next few weeks. They will fly by!
Kim
