An Italian Sunday

This past weekend was ideal. Derrick got in late Friday night from a business trip in Chicago, so Beetles and I awaited his arrival with catching up on TV from the week. I knew I was in for a tough workout class and long walk with Julie at Forest Park this next morning!! I am still hurting today from the weights class Saturday morning. :)

Saturday evening Derrick and I went to Olympia for dinner and drinks. I LOVE greek food and was craving Olympia. We enjoyed some summer ale's and a cold spinach dip as an appetizer. We decided to call it an early night, rent a movie, and relax. We ended up renting "Extraordinary Measures." This was a wonderful movie with a great, heart-warming story. I heart Harrison Ford!

Sunday started with Derrick and I both working on the patio...it's coming a long, and it's almost done!! We are planning to break it out on Memorial Day with a BBQ! Pictures are soon to come! Derrick's parents also came up for a visit and to go to dinner with us! We all decided on Maggianos! This is one of my favorite Italian places in St. Louis. We did the 'classic family style' and enjoyed many dishes which were all excellent! Their desserts are just killer! Knowing that I was going to indulge in the desserts, I really watched what I ate throughout dinner, which surprisingly worked! I enjoyed a great glass of Riesling while we had a really nice time - it was great catching up with Mike & Sandy!
