Memorial Day Weekend was busy, fun, and relaxing all at the same time. When I was younger, I used to get so excited for weekends like these. It was the kick off to summer and you could now wear WHITE everything...(I later found out in life that, that rule does not apply, never did...) Now, I get excited for weekends like these because of the 3-day weekend. It's amazing what one extra day can do for you.
Thankfully on Friday afternoon, my boss gave me the go-ahead to start the weekend a little early! I got in a quick workout and headed to Lake St. Louis with my girlfriends + Brian to visit Amy & Josh, and their new house! I was husband-less this weekend so I knew I had the freedom to do WHATEVER! We had a really nice time at Amy's, and got to catch up. We have another friend engaged! Congrats to Maria Dominguez (below) and her fiance Nick! July 2011 is the date!

On Saturday, I got a lot done around my house and work on the finishing touches of the patio. I joined Brandy at the Maplewood Porksteak World Series that her husband Mac participated in. They didn't win anything, but their food was amazing!
On Sunday I got up early, cleaned, and headed over to Mancini's pool to layout and get some sun. Later that day, Julie, my mom, and myself went to see Sex & the City 2!!! Beforehand, we went to the Bristol for martinis and appetizers - I am so bummed I didn't get any pictures. I loved every minute of the movie, and the fashion was fantastic!
On Monday, I waited patiently for Derrick to arrive home from his fishing trip! We were having my family over for a BBQ so I made a bunch of food that morning. It did rain, and as you can see Sophia LOVES to play in the mud... she was a very dirty doggie...
Beetles is like me...just enjoying her new patio and new patio furniture :)

Yay for the new patio! How fun! And SATC 2 was sooo good! The fashion was incredible and it's always wonderful to see the girls back together! :)
