This past weekend was wonderful! It has been a good two months (besides Thanksgiving) that Derrick and I have spent the majority of the weekend together (thanks to hunting.) It was very low-key and relaxing :) On Friday night, my friend Brandy came over, and a couple of Derrick's friends also came over. Derrick grilled ribs and chicken and Brandy and I got to do lots of catching up over some wine!
Saturday came early and Brandy and I got right to it by hitting the bridal shop to order and get fitted for my bridesmaid dress for her wedding in April! I can't wait for this wedding! Everything will be held in Soulard, because Mac loves Soulard!! The rest of the day, I did some things around the house, watched some TV, and just vegged! Derrick made a quick trip to Ste.Genevieve to pick up his deer mounts (you know what they means...yes, they are going in our basement, now known as 'mancave'...whatever)
We knew we wanted to go out to dinner Saturday night, but we couldn't decide where to go. We hadn't been out to eat for a fun Saturday night in a really long time together, so we knew we wanted to go somewhere awesome with a good atmosphere and good food. We finally decided on 'Mosaic' down on Washington Avenue. It was just as awesome as we wanted and the food was delicious!!! We had a drink at the bar first and then went to our table. There's just something about having a drink at the bar first, then going to your table...so much more fun!!
We didn't feel like doing much afterwards so we came home, and watched 'Taken' with Liam Nielson. If you haven't seen it, see it. It's a great movie, and I don't think we focus enough on human trafficking.
Sunday started off right by all three of us sleeping in!!! (Yes, beetle sleeps in longer than we do...) We went to church and stopped by Panera for lunch on our way home. We watched TV and movies, pretty much all day, which is my fav thing to do on Sundays. We watched another movie...this one was okay...Vantage Point. 6 out of 10. All in all is was a great weekend!!!
