I hope you all stayed warm, here in MO it was chilly with some light dusting of snow, however, to those in PA who got over 6 inches, I hope you ran out and got your milk and eggs. My parents went to visit family and for my dad and brother to attend the Steeler game Sunday and the weather was perfect for some outside football! A football game in the winter is the best! We have been keeping Sassy over the weekend. She is such a good girl and it gives Beetle something to do. The picture below is just to die for...

This weekend was perfect. Derrick was in Chicago Friday night for business, so I had the house to myself (which no offense to my hubby, but it's nice!) I had planned to run Saturday morning in a 5K, however, I woke up to a little bit of snow on the ground and that idea went out the window. (I'm not an outside runner to begin with...) I opted for the gym instead, which worked out even better because there was a couple good Christmas movies on :) The weather has been so blah, I headed out after my workout to visit my Gram and have some of her delicious crab salad that she makes. We chatted for a while, but I knew I had to get on my Christmas shopping. Surprisingly, Chesterfield mall wasn't too bad, still packed, but tolerable. I really try my hardest to avoid any shopping area this time of year, and save myself the frustration, but I keep telling myself to have patients, and believe it or not, that works!
I got home around 4p on Saturday, and Derrick had already flew into St. Louis and was home waiting on me. We chatted for a while and then decided to get some Chinese at our favorite place in South City. We were going to go see a movie at Ronnie's but decided to rent some instead. Movies rented were, 'World's Greatest Dad' and 'The Other Man.' Both of them were so/so, and I wouldn't recommend either.
I have to say that I am so proud of my husband. He has finally joined my gym, and worked out with me on Sunday morning!!! We finished up our Christmas shopping afterwards and then Curt came over to hangout and we watched the Hangover - so hilarious.
Only 3 days of work this week, then off until Jan 4!
