Summer is the BEST.

Summer in general puts me in a better mood. It's so much easier to get dressed, be outside, and just be in a great mood. Downfalls of summer: I want to drink more, and living in the Midwest, we all know that the summer heat can get brutal. Another great thing about summer is Cardinal baseball! Which leads me to Saturday...Derrick and I didn't go to the game but we met our friends, the Mcnamaras' and John and Amber down at Paddy O's after the game. We were all getting together for Brandy's birthday. When the sun started to go down we headed to John's for some swimming and good company!Happy Birthday Brandy!!! Whooo hooo!

I knew the second I woke up Sunday morning I wanted to get out of the house and not lay around all day! Derrick was up for doing something as well, so we decided on the STL zoo! We both couldn't remember the last time we were there. The weather was nicer and cooler than we expected, so walking around felt so good :) Apparently we weren't the only ones who had the same plans Sunday to get out of the house. Forest Park was crazy and we sat in traffic for 40 minutes! We were starved by 4:30 and headed to the CWE to Pi!!! I've really wanted to go there since it opened. Derrick and I each had a summer ale and split a salad and one of their Chicago style pizzas! I have never had "pie" style pizza before and it was wonderful...really hit the spot!
