The 4th of July weekend for me was treat because I took Friday off and then we also had Monday off. I haven't had a 4 day weekend in a long time. Due to the oil in Gulf Shores, we had to cancel our vacation to the beach in August, so my family decided to stay local and go on a float trip and stay in a cabin! We went to Blue Springs for 3 nights and had a great time. We had some great food, bon fires and fireworks! I even got up for a run Saturday morning. I didn't get any pictures of the float, but it was so fun and the weather was beautiful :)
The dogs just hung out all weekend!
Beetles literally sat on the table for most of the weekend. She's not really a nature-type dog.
For our night of cooking, we decided on kabobs. They were great on the grill.
Since we floated on Saturday, on Sunday we went down to the beach area and hung out on the river. The dogs were even swimming. It was hilarious! I'm so thankful I have such a fun family to do these trips with! It was relaxing and so much fun!
