First weekend in January!

This past weekend was great. We had nothing to do, which is always nice...and we were both home together...for the entire weekend. It all started on New Years Day, we headed to my parents house for the most wonderful dinner :) We stayed for quite a while, watched TV and hung out. On Friday, I went into work for a little while to take down all the Christmas decorations. I stayed in on Friday night, mostly due to being exhausted from the holidays and my own Christmas decor had to come down. Derrick went out with Otto for some beers and to watch the football game.

Saturday, we slept in...and I woke up rather excited! I had an eye doctor appointment to get new contacts and glasses (which I have been needing for a very long time!) Afterwards, I ran home to pick Derrick up and we had a nice afternoon :) We went to Panera for a late lunch and then grocery shopping. Saturday night was a little different; we asked Liz and Chuck to come to play games and have dinner, and then Curt and Amy ended up coming over too :) We played a couple games and then started playing drinking games...all I remember is looking at the clock and it was 3 am! We had a really good time :) Everyone spend the night and not one person woke up before noon. Finally, we made a big breakfast and sat around, cleaned up. I was supposed to go see a movie with Julie but I got a funny text that said that she didn't think she was going to make it anymore because last night kicked her butt! (I have had plently of those mornings, so I completely understood.) We ended up going to catch the afternoon showing of 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.' All I can say is that it is fantastic! I cried, I even think Derrick shed a few! I would recommend it to ANYONE!

Starting tomorrow, Derrick and I are starting something new. It's not a diet, but new eating habits...so tonight on the way home we decided what we wanted for our 'last' fattening meal...of course we ordered pizza and wings--one of my favorites!! It's going to be tough, but I have to get back to my 'strict' eating lifestyle!

I'm doin it and doin it and doin it well......and RIGHT!
