Last night, Derrick and I met with the pastor and our church wedding coordinator at the church. Our pastors name is George Mason, and I felt an immediate connection to him the first minute we met. He must be 75 years old and so sweet. Our wedding coordinator's name is Lisa, who is also really great, bubbly personality, etc. In the meeting, they gave us a variety of papers. The most important one was the list of vowels that we can choose from or we can also write our own. I can see us writing our own for sure. Derrick and I certainly don't have a problem expressing to each other how we feel, and anyone who has ever been around us can attest to that! One of the other pieces of paper they gave us was the actual ceremony and how everything will flow. I can't wait to pick the music for everything (which I already have some in mind!)
Since the church is the official gathering of friends, family, and Derrick and I, it really is starting to feel real! I am so excited, I just can't hide...I know, I know, I know...And I think I like it! (There's a little 80's for ya.) On August 1, 2009, I'm going to have my cake and eat it too :)

Lauren,
It sounds like you are having so much fun with your wedding plans! That's great. I think deep purple and yellow will be beautiful, classy and very unique!
You have to tell me where you found your blog background! I LOVE it and am so bored with the standard blogspot ones! Please share!
Hope all is well. Still waiting on the baby girl,
Kim
