The weekend started off with a bang! On Friday, when I was still at work, McNamera called and wanted Derrick and I to go to Famous Barr with him and Brandy, I couldn't refuse! (I adore Mac!) Saturday morning came fast, with a couple traditional surprises in the morning. Derrick had to get up at 7am and take his parents to the airport, but when I got up after he was home, I walked out to flowers and my fav...Russell Stover chocolates! I have always thought that chocolate on Valentines Day is so classic and tradional. Just to give you a peak of how romantic Derrick is...he got both of us tickets to the Bud Light tent on Marti Gras in Soulard!! I'm super pumped about that!
Saturday was very low-key. We went over to Curt and Amy's for dinner along with Charlie and Liz. Curt made excellent steaks. Surprisely, I was in bed pretty early. It was still a great time though :) We had a great breakfast this morning too!
Sunday, we did something different and soooo fun! With my mom, dad, derrick, beetle, and sassy, we headed to Soulard for the Puppy Parade!!
There were so many dogs at the dog parade! As a dog lover, I was in heaven. Every dog imaginable was there. The four of us walked around for awhile, had a couple beers, and then came back to our apartment. My parents brought an excellent pizza, so we made that and just hung out :) Overall, it was a GREAT Valentines Day weekend, couldn't really ask for anything more!
