*~*~*A NIGHT WITH MY GIRLIES*~*~*

Yesterday, I had to wake up at 5:45am to be at work by 7am to set up for a meeting. 5:45am is just WRONG!...and I live like 7-10 minutes away, sad I know. You have to understand, I never am awake at that time, and never want to be again. I'm not a morning person, and I'm not a night person...however, I really like the time of day when I get off to when the sun is going down - I really like to be outside at that time as well. Anyway, getting up at 5:45 I was a little nervous that I was going to be a little tired around 6pm when I was meeting Julie, Lo, Maria, and Amy! However, I wasn't at all! I was really excited to see everyone, especially because we all hadn't seen Amy in a while. She didn't bring Jackson with her, but she brought us all pictures, and he is really starting to get big!

I picked up Julie from her house, and we headed to Bar Louie in Kirkwood. We had such a great time! It's really crazy the things you talk about when you get older...jobs, babies, weddings, significant others, etc. I really do just appreciate the little things about my friends. Each one is truly different from the next...that is what makes it amazing. There's ALWAYS something to talk about ;)

We watched the Mizzou game while we were there, well, I didn't watch it because Julie and I got into a in-depth conversation, but we listened to everyone cheer, and then we would hurry up and look at the score. It's so terrible...I haven't been following basketball at all this year :(

DATE NIGHT: Some of my friends do a thing called 'date night' with their other half, so I said to Derrick, let's do a 'date night.' Usually, when I say girlie things like that Derrick trys to act like a manly man like he's too cool for school to ever say he's participating in a 'date night.' Not this time! I asked him early in the week and he agreed and got really excited! I really haven't seen much of him lately, so tonight will be fabulous. I made reservations at 1111 Mississippi in Lafayette Square. We've never been and I am stoked!
