It's a nice day in the neighborhood...
I had a very productive day. It started with a little work at the office, and then off to sign all the papers for our house closing! I was so excited to get it over with and the house to actually be ours! The closing went by rather quick. Derrick and I celebrated by having lunch together at the crepery in Clayton. It was a treat because we never have lunch together during the week! It was a nice day to sit outside and have lunch. After wards, I got a VIP tour of Derrick's new office on the 10th floor of his building. It is definitely an upgrade from what he used to have! It's really nice.
I quickly ran to Sam's Club for work products, went back to work for just a little then got out of there as quick as I could. As I waited for Derrick to get home I got all the laundry together to take over to the house. (I am so excited to finally have my very own washer and dryer!!) We ordered a pizza from Elicia's on the way (only traditional to have pizza in your new kitchen before moving in!) It was Beetle's first time seeing her new home, and of course, she loved it. She ran around like a wild woman, inside and in the backyard.
The picture above is me standing in the kitchen. As you can see, the paint choice on the wall is completely wrong. I hope to do really cool 'before' and 'after' pictures. Can you see all of my paint samples taped to the walls?! Hopefully, we will be able to paint the tile, so the red won't be there anymore...it's just gotta go! More pictures to come in the next few days! Have a great rest of the week everyone!

I don't think the red tile is all that bad... unless red just isn't your thing.
