My weekend started with my husband coming home Friday evening with flowers and two bottles of red! We had planned all week to stay in, relax, and make fajitas. Since we had such a crazy weekend last weekend with our mini-trip, we were due for some downtime. And, from here on out until the end of April, I feel like we have something. Fajitas turned out fantastic, and we ended up sitting at our kitchen table for two hours just chatting away.
On Saturday evening, we went out to O'Fallon for my Gram's 79th birthday! My mom picked up Italian from Donotello's. I haven't had veal in forever, and it was awesome! As you can see below, little Sophia Loren is getting very big, she weighs 20lbs now! She is a doll baby!
I took on the responsibility of making the cake...I'm not going to lie, it was good, so good that when Derrick and I got home Saturday night, we had a second piece...with milk.
On Sunday - we took full advantage of sleeping in, and going to church. The rest of the day, we went to Lowe's and purchased a wood blind for our kitchen. Derrick installed that, and it looks great. Around 4:30p we headed over to the Mcnameras house for dinner, along with the Otto family. Below is Derrick, with sweet Macy! She is an awesome baby, I held her while she slept, and I didn't want to give her back.
