Derrick is 26!

This past weekend was Derrick's birthday. Saturday to be exact. We had so much fun, Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday! Friday night started out with Derrick and I driving down to Festus to meet Derrick's parents for dinner. We had a really nice time and it was good to catch up with the in-laws! I couldn't wait any longer so Derrick opened his presents from me Friday night before dinner...I got him 2 tickets to see Willie Nelson this Thursday at the Pagent! and a new pair of jeans from the Buckle! I told Derrick he can take a friend to the show because I really don't wait to see Willie Nelson!

Saturday started early for me with a trip to Starbucks and making Derrick's birthday cake! We went for a workout, and then we were off to our couples massage I arranged for us!! Derrick loved getting our massages in the Bahamas so I thought it would be great and relaxing for him on his birthday! And I was right, he thoroughly enjoyed it and so did I!

On Saturday night, we had friends over for some cocktails and appetizers and then went up the street to the local bar. Everyone had a really good time!

On Sunday, we both slept in and headed out to my parents house for the last birthday celebration - Below, Derrick is wearing his new Cardinal jacket from my parents!

And yes, even though Derrick is 26, we did sing! I was very proud of myself for the cake I made. Derrick requested a lemon cake, so I made a 2-layer lemon cake with raspberry filling, and butter cream icing, and it was delicious!

My parents were so generous and gave us their furniture that was in their family room! (They are getting new furniture and wood floors throughout their first level.) We brought it home last night and I am LOVING it!!! It makes the basement so homily!! All I want to do is hangout down there.

Overall - a great weekend! Derrick kept saying...'only 4 years until I'm 30.' Ha ha ha...
