Wow - what a process! Finally our patio is complete, well almost, this week Derrick will apply the final step - which is the gloss. Derrick did all of the prep work before the workers came in to pour the concrete, stain, and stamp it. We got so lucky and were able to work with a man and his crew from Ste. Gen. His crew included 2 of Derrick's high school friends, Tyson & Todd!
This grueling process started with Derrick jack hammering out all of the old concrete from the old patio and walk way.
We had a huge dumpster in our driveway for almost 2 weeks, so glad that is gone!
After all of the concrete was gone, Derrick laid the edging and added rock and stone. I was getting antsy at this point! I just couldn't wait until it was complete!
The crew arrived last Thursday afternoon and got to work! They stamped in and made it look great. I had never seen this process done before and it is so neat!
When I went to Lowe's on Saturday, I couldn't resist buying these cute little pots and planting these flowers in them!
New furniture! I searched and searched for a rod iron bistro set, and finally found a reasonable one at Lowe's! I also picked up the green chairs below.
Finished project!...ALMOST!
LOVE IT!
Thanks to my husband for working his tail off for the last 3 weeks! It looks wonderful!
