Thank god it is Friday! Although, overall, I had a great week. The beginning of the week was normal, steady pace, found time for a couple workouts. However, on Wednesday I got a nice email from my fiance asking if I wanted to go to the Melting Pot :) Ha, before you jump to any conclusions, don't think we go out and spend all this lavish money on expensive fancy dinners, because we are the EXACT opposite! (For your FYI, we both love to cook, well...I think I love to grocery shop more, but cooking is my new best things to do!) So, anyways, for my birthday my boss gave me a gift card to the Melting Pot, and we hadn't used it yet. Derrick had a phenomenal day at work on Wednesday...receiving a 'little' bonus in the mail we went and could 'afford' to go to the Melting Pot. We get there around 8pm, and we got so lucky...we had the most romantic booth in the entire place. We ordered a bottle of wine, and had an amazing dinner. However, all my friends know that my sweet tooth is out of this world, so in my opinion the dessert was the best!! Overall, the night was great. I told Derrick, we never really did anything to celebrate our engagement, so that night was it!
On Thursday, at work I had the privledge of meeting the governor! Gov. Blunt came to check out the club! We got our picture and everything :)
The weekend entails a lot of FUN! One of my favorite people is coming to spend the night...my lovely future sister-in-law KIM! Kim and the girls are coming up to STL to hangout with me! I am planning an extra fun day for us :) The girls are super excited that we get to have a slumber party at Aunt Lar-Lar and Uncle Der-Der's house :) Little Lincoln with be with Sandy, while the boys hunt.
Tonight I'm going out to O'Fallon to hang out with my mom (here comes the wine, here comes the wine, all dressed in...); my Dad and Gram are heading back to Pittsburgh to see some family and to see my Pap's engraving on his slot. Home is where the heart is...
