It's so nice to wake up to a white sheet covering the ground! You get to enjoy it for about 2 hours and everything turns into slush! I took Beetle out this morning before leaving for work and she gets so excited about snow...she just sticks her little face in it! Today she looked up at me with snow on her chin, she looked adorable :)
I am very excited to get off work today because I am going home to bake Christmas cookies! I am having all my friends over on Thursday evening and I want each of them to be able to take some home. It's going to be so fun, each person is bringing over cookies and then we are giving them to each other. It's going to be really nice to see everyone, esp the girls I don't see ALL the time. Everyone is also bringing an appetizer...every time we do something like this, we always have way TOO much food! It's fun though :) And I can't wait~
This weekend we are heading to Ste.Genevieve to celebrate Christmas with the fam! I can't wait for Sandy's bourbon slush! This year we will be at my parents' house on Christmas Eve & day and then on the 26th, we'll head back East to Pittsburgh to celebrate there as well. It will be nice because after three years, Derrick has not met one of my mom's sisters or my mom's parents! My aunt is having a party, so that I KNOW will be fun in itself! There's nothing like GOING HOME...the narrow windy roads, and the Steeler decorations in the yards!!! (People have more Steeler decorations in their yards than Christmas decorations...it's awesome!!!) Rams fans don't have shit on Steeler fans!...that's for sure! Another good feeling about going home is that it's comforting to know that my grandfather is there, in the family cemetary looking out onto the bluff, the most beautiful scenary, couldn't ask for anything more. Hopefully we will get to see my cousin Cory when we stop in Indiana. (He's been training with the Army.) Many things to look forward to in the next couple weeks.
Stay warm Saint Louis :) or where ever you are!
