Cape Girardeau is Deadly.

This weekend was a ton of fun, however it's ALWAYS nice to go home to your own space! With Friday being Derrick's birthday, Sandy (his mom) made a special birthday dinner...the one and only liver, onions, and mashed potatoes. I actually really like that meal, so it doesn't bother me :) We had a really nice time Friday night with Mike and Sandy. Derrick opened his birthday presents and we had cake and ice cream...Sandy makes thee most AMAZING german chocolate cake! Tyson and Elisha also stopped by for a while with their new boxer puppy Bella. She is adorable, and her and Beetle played for a very long time, which wore Beetle out! Liz and Charlie also came down Friday night and ended up staying up until 3am! It was so nice outside so we just sat outside for the majority of the night. On Saturday we slept in and had a great breakfast thanks to Mike who made omlets to order! I hadn't had an omlet in so long and it was great! Liz and I went for a long walk and just hung out!

Saturday night we went to Cape to visit and go to the Pladium. Let's just say we had tooooo good of a time! We started at Buckner's for dinner and then headed to Pladium.Liz and I got a couple games of well needed darts in, cherry bombs, and Beaver! After the Pladium closed we walked up to the Sig Tau house because they were having a party. We didn't go to bed until 5am!!!!! (Derrick looked at me on the way home today and said, "I haven't stayed up that late in ages!" (The picture to your left is me...just being me...behind the bar...)Everyone in Cape seems like they are doing really well. I do have to say that I am very happy I'm not down there anymore...I don't know if I could keep up with it all still, and plus, I really like where my life is right now! Anyway - we really didn't know where the four of us were going to stay...that's us still trying to feel spontaneous. We ended up staying at Dan's house, which was amazing for a college house! The next morning we slept until 1:30 and also throught the tornado sirens! Honestly, we would have slept through a tornado if one came our way. Finally, we drug ourselves out while stopping at Jimmy Johns on the way out of Cape. Delicious! (The below picture: I don't know if Liz would remember this...)
We had to stop in Ste.Gen on the way home to pick Beetle up and Derrick had to help his dad do some things around the house. The weather today was amazing, so Sandy and I sat outside, however the wind was so strong. We finally got back to our apartment, I unpacked, and Derrick went straight to the couch. It's been a very lowkey Sunday evening with both of us sitting on the couch with our eyes glued to the TV.
