Just Not Another Thursday!

Thursday June 4, 2009 started out like any other day. However, around 10am when my boss got into work, he was talking to my co-worker and myself. He somehow weaseled his way into talking about the one and only Cup Cakery in the CWE. (I think he was having major sweet tooth issues!) Anyway - Matt said he'd never been there, so my boss said, "Well, let's go then!" So...the next thing I knew I was be forced (ha ha) to walk down to the best place on earth. Keep in mind it was 10am...
Of course, I couldn't resist a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing. It was delicious. A perfect start to the beginning to the end of the week! (Good thing I had a morning workout yesterday...)

I was actually counting down the hours until the end of the day. Only because, I was going to the Fox Theatre with my two wonderful friends, Julie & Lo to see R.E.N.T.!!!!! I have been wanting to see this show live for about 4 years!!After work, Julie picked me up from my apartment, and we headed to Vito's on Lindell. While we were waiting for Lo to arrive, we had a bottle of Reisling, catching up on things...talking about how SOON the wedding is! When Lo got there, we ordered and had a really good time. We were in walking distance to the Fox, so that was a nice little stroll. The inside of the Fox Theatre is just absolutely beautiful. I love the design and architecture. Out seats were up pretty high, but Julie pointed out a good point, that there really isn't a bad seat in the Fox. The show itself was amazing. The great thing about this production is that Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal, who were in the movie, are also in the live show. There's not one performer in the show that doesn't have an incredible voice. The thing about R.E.N.T that I love is that it really pulls you in to the story. Overall, it was a great night with the girls, and Adam Pascal!!!!
